(He had a good LPL tournament and he can bring the much need stability in the middle-order)

Time for a wild card folks – we have tried the ‘senior executives’ and got hammered silly to the extend that we need to qualify for the next WC! Lets take a young chap and give him the captaincy and secure his place till the next WC – I am not sure who is in squad but anyone who captained at u19, regardless of how much international exposure should be given the role – we have nothing to lose.
Nooooo…Thisara’s captaincy record is very very poor in T20I.Srilanka haven’t won a single match under his captaincy among 9 t20i matches.So Gunathilaka is the one choice for the captaincy in T20I.
