ICC World Cup – Sri Lanka Final Squad (10/10/2021)

during the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 Final between India and Sri Lanka at Sher-e-Bangla Mirpur Stadium on April 6, 2014 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka team is expected to make several changes to their squad for the T20 World Cup, which needs to be finalized by today.

Squad:

  4. Avishka Fernando

    – No 3 & 4 positions may be swapped afte Asalanka gets some match practise in then warm up match.
    – Then Avishka can bat at no4 and push Bhanuka to no 5 position.
    – Chamika must be pushed one slot to no 7. Although he is classified as a bowling allrounder his batting has
    improved a lot to promote him as a batting allrounder.
    – Left arm orthodox spin is a must (as in all other teams) as in every team RH batters are plenty.
    – Pulina’s selection is a waste of resources as we have a strong contender (Wanindu) for that option
