Humilating defeats for SL Emerg in all 3 matches due to poor batting. New Head Coach, please rectify
In the first match, SL Emerg Team lost unexpectedly to Oman.
In the 2nd match they suffered another humiliating defeat, this time loosing to Pakistan’s Emerg team and it’s a very sorry state to see our scorecard where we lost the last 7 wkts for just 4 runs. Our young batsmen had no clue whatsoever how to face Pak young 19 year old fast bowler Mohd Hassain who took 6 wkts for 19 runs in his 7 overs. (the same bowler played against our national team recently and bowled superbly taking 3 wkts as well).
Probably the wicket was a very difficult one to bat, but at least our top 5 batsmen should have defended that small target of 183 runs and brought SL to a close victory. I am saying that with authority as one or two batsmen from the top five are going to be absorbed in to our national team very soon.
Once again it was proved beyond any doubt that our best crop of young batsmen in the age group from 19 to 24 yrs are not coached properly to play even in sub continent wickets.
It’s not a surprise why our young, talented cricketers are failing so miserably in their batting. The main reason for this in my opinion is due to a very sad situation that all of them do not have any proper coaching by a batting cioach. The three major teams of the age groups from U 19 and above (National, Emerging & U 19) have past fast bowlers from SL as Head Coaches and they are holding these top positions for the greed of money although they are not willing to tell the SLC management that they are unable to hold such Head Coach positions due to the absence of proper batting coaches working with them. Even our Chief Selector / Team Manager who was a fast bowler during his time may be unable to provide a solution to these problems in batting among youg cricketers.
What a big catastrophe that is damaging our Cricket.
BREAKING NEWS
In the 3rd match played yesterday SL Emerg Team lost their 3rd match also, this time to Afghanistan. So there will be a possibility that SL will be out from the tournament in the priliminery stage.
GOOD SITUATION FOR OUR NEW HEAD COACH TO RECTIFY THIS DAMAGE DONE TO OUR CRICKET BY THIS INCOMPETENT CHIEF SELECTOR & LOCAL HEAD COACHES.
