Who will be included in the Sri Lankan test squad against England team? For me I like to see Kusal Perera opening with Kausal Silva because he have a good technique and it will be more ideal opportunity to get more expose to England conditions in preparations for the world cup 2015 since Kusal will be ideal candidate to open in ODI’S on the way to world cup.
Difficult decision will be in the 7th position whether to include Prasanna Jayawardena or Dinesh Chandimal since Chandimal is part of the ODI squad for the world cup but Prasanna Jayawardena is the Man of the Series of Sri Lanka in the last England tour
So SL batting positions should be like this
Kusal Perera
Kausal Silva
Kumar Sangakkara
Mahela Jayawardena
Anjelo Mattews
Lahiru Thirimanne
Prasanna Jayawardena / Dinesh Chandimal
It will be a difficult decision to take whether to include 3 fast bowlers and one spinner or 2 fast bowlers and 2 spinners in the playing 11. It will mostly depend on the pitch and weather conditions.
Talking about fast bowlers if SL go with 2 fast bowlers definitely they must go up with Shaminda Eranga and Suranga Lakmal
If they need a 3rd seamer they can go with Nuwan Pradeep
Coming to the spinners no doubt if there is only one spinner it should go to the experience Rangana Herath
If they need a second spinner it will be a tough battle between Dilruwan Perera and Sachitra Senanayake

So they can further look up players like Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Viswa Fernando, Dushmatha Chameera, Suraj Randiv, Tharindu Kausal, Ajantha Mendis, Kithuruwan Vithanage and Chamara Kapugedara to fill any vacant positions in my opinion.
