  1. Why do people call for Dimuth
    Why do people call for Dimuth into the team when Chandimal is too there ,a similar slow innings builder. Dimuth is an option if Chandimal is not in the team eg injury ( because he won’t be dropped in spite of poor scores because he is the captain). It is just a set of unfortunate things happening for Sri Lanka at the same time. The main culprit I see here is Tharanga. The retirement of big three players would not have mattered much if Tharanga was able to raise his position. As the most senior & wonderful batsman in the past not only he should be a permanent opening batsman but the captain of the ODI team.We would not have had this problem of multiple captains & Mathews, Chandimal would not have even come to the picture. But he just flops & flops , show no leadership skill at all & a very poor fielder. His demeanour on the field is so appalling. He has become a completely a different player after his ban. True, Kusal Mendis’s form is poorer but what you all forget is he is young so this could be an investment. Still a hope I admit but with Tharanga at his age you don’t have even that, at his position what more experience should we give him?

    Enough is enough. No SL player can complain they haven’t got an opportunity. Most have but not many have performed.

    Stop with these test batsman true we might get 250 but now a days u require 300 to win. I rather lose while trying than lose without giving a fight. We should play similar squad both odi and T20 bring in consistency in performance

    Reason for omission

    DDS: like this guy but truth is he hasn’t performed he is playing mainly has batsman and he is not consistence enough. Average 25 something SR 70 something

    Chandimal: poor performance in the past 2 years plus his bad SR and average.

    Dimuth: one of the issues he has is he gets most of his runs in second inning in test matches and in limited overs u don’t have second lnning. His SR isn’t not good enough for the modern day cricket. Has played 17 odi, currently has 15.8 average and 68 SR
