agree with uppercut, he is easily the best commentator in the SLPL . I've only heard him for less than 10 minutes but its very clear and he gives a good insight to what is happening on the field unlike some who just describe where the ball pitched, which way it swing and what shot the batsman played. its very interesting to listen to him

I dont see why anyone needs to feel sorry for Malinga. It's only idiotic Sri Lankans who laugh at the local accent or copy aussie accent or any other. English is a mode of communication and as long as they get the point across its sufficent. Of course its great to have excellent skills like Sanga but thanks to Sri Lanka's short sighted education policy we have a weak English education.

first english competency does not correlate to cricket skills. its should not and it does not. and god forbid that we should mimick an accent. i cringe when i see our guys do that. we won the world cup coz we got all the outstation talent to the team and i am a firm blv that we should give them opportunities and chances.
why i felt sorry for malinga was that when he was interviewed, he looked down and away from the camera which are signs of discomfort and he struggled to get his point across. hence i would have liked Sanga to interview him in sinhala and translate or SLC to give them some help in developing english skills. its not diff to pick up basic english. on the other hand if the interview had been done in sinhala i am sure Malinga would have had more insightful things to communicate. hope my point is more clear now
