This is ridiculous.Dropping Mahela is such a stupid thing to do.I saw some people have said "Drop Murali, get Thushara in the team" and Sangakkara did exactly that stupid thing and look what happened?Dropping the best bowler in the world to give a new guy a chance in a critical match?Does it sound right? And dropping third most experienced player,Mahela from the team?and replace with who? There's no experienced batsman in the squad to fill Mahela's place, ooohh maybe repeat the same stupid thing Sangakkara did by dropping the best bowler in the world. So drop Mahela and who will replace him in a CRITICAL MATCH?Good thinking all who voted against Mahela in this poll.
Mahela shud be preserved. He needs consistency. Sometimes it is badluck due to wrong decisions. May be he shud open or not be no. 4. There shud be a gap between Kumar and Mahela. But how can it be done?

It is only right to drop mahela. Remember what he did to Marvan in 2007? Players like Mahela with their jealous attitudes will not help. There are better players who are knoking on the door for a quite time.Give them a chance.
Im not sure if dropping Mahela will work as we have to wonder who will replace him.
But Mahela is a problem in my opinion. He rarely ever steps up to the big occassion.
He gets away with throwing his wicket away far too often. Proving that the Sri Lankan cricket board is not consistent. They have dropped talented players for failing less often than Mahela
Mahela scores a century against Canada. And i warned my friends and family. Just watch, he will get out cheaply against Pakistan and Australia. And i was correct.
Sangakkara on the other hand is the opposite. I have lost count the number of times he can deliver in pressure situations. Maybe not all the time but certainly more often than arrogant cocky Mahela.
But Mahela will probably never get dropped from the team. He has some sort of immunity.
I hope he proves me wrong in this world cup and scores big for SL in the knockout stages. At least it will be good for the SL team

We have to let players to emerge. What makes different? we still lose but youngsters learn, that is vital.

Don't drop all but drop Mahela. One or two 50s and fails. Even when he scores he cant take the team home.
