@ Deepal - Mathews will soon become the second best all-rounder in the world, he is still on the rise to that position. on Akila, Yes, he got to bowl only one over, Yet he was ready to toss the ball up and gutsy enough to make the batsman make the call. Rare talent.
Mathews and Thisara are almost established at least in the shorter forms, therefore it should be between Kushal and Thirimanne.I'd go for Thirimanne because he has been in the team for longer and finally during this tour has cemented a place.Kushal showed promise but need a little more time.
@ Sulaimaan - Yes, Thirimanne for me too, he not only played all three formats well, he adopted himself to different batting positions in ODI's and Test matches, he is a mixture of Mahela and Sanga.
It was a toss up between Thiri and Kusal but I went for Kusal because he came in as a 2nd back up keeper and ended up impressing as an opener and played some remarkable shots with a fearless attitude. I am not sure what his defense is like or long game but man he brought some real hope of another dasher at the top of the order and there is something always special about that.
