They should ve organized a match between, the '96 WC XI vs Current SL XI :D)))))) pretty sure '96 WC XI wud come close to beating the Current SL XI !!! :D)))
@ CGI - Yes :)
@ UC_7 - Yes, Aravinda.. the way he took all the bowling attacks with confidence. and the way he smashed Lee during the '03 WC semis puts him right on top of the others..
I'm going with Sanga :) statistics and the way he bat out of the subcontinent shows he is the only batsman we have ever seen in our XI who can handle both type of pitches well.
Also I can remeber Aravinda too had bad times. But he gave us the most unforgettable gift with his super effort in 96. He delivered when it needed. He was mentally strong, no fear. I think that's why people love him the most.
He was sacked for two years when he was in prime form. Otherwise his statistics would have been a different one.
P.S: If you ask who is your favorite or most respected batsman, then I'll chose Aravinda

I think the reason behind this vote is Arjuna's comment on this regard during the match, Legends vs 96 Champs. Am I correct Daneil?
