Dont be sad, you were our finest ever leader, you always gave 100% and your contribution will never be forgotten, always remembered nonetheless. Your decision was in the best interests of the team and country. Heads up Sir, you have many great years ahead!

Thanks for the photo. Shows the human side to all of this. It's a tough decision and it takes its toll. For those who thought he didn't care about his nation's sport, this is the best example of his love for Sri Lanka cricket.
So emotional. Hats off to you Mahela . . . A TRUE LEADER ever seen in the World of Cricket !!!

On a par with Ranatunga as the best captain we've ever had.
We shud all salute Mahela for wat he has done. he lifted SL cricket to a higher standard and also made the young guys believe in their talents. he was also great with field settings and always took very intelligent decisions. Hats off to you Mahela. You are the best captain SL has ever had!
