Sri Lankan women’s cricket team was an unknown quantity until recently. Names like Eshani Kaushalya and Shashikala Siriwardene have become house hold names overnight not only in Sri Lanka, but in other cricket playing nations like England and India.

Maybe for the writer the team was an unknown quantity but if he visited island cricket once in awhile he would know a lot more about them.
