Upul Tharanga anchored the innings and his captain Tillakaratne Dilshan, uncharacteristically, played second fiddle on a slow, flat pitch in Bloemfontein in a 94-run opening stand. Tharanga fell after his second successive half-century and Dilshan, recovering after two consecutive ducks.
