Sri Lanka Cricket congratulates Sangakkara

"Kumar joins a special brand of past greats dating back to 1889, and the award he receives by Wisden is not only a global recognition but a national achievement by a true son of our soil," SLC said in a release. Sangakkara, 34, was picked by the Wisden as one of its five cricketers of 2011.

Interesting, considering the fact that Kumar's Manager is a former employee of Wisden and owned by ESPN.
