SLPL Draft to mirror NBA system

The Sri Lanka Premier League will have a franchise model this year as against the SLC-owned model that was planned had it started last season. More interestingly, players will be assigned to each team by using the draft system. This will be very similar to the one used in NBA in the USA

yeh its better they use the draft system, reduces the corruption opportunities which is there in the auction/bidding system

@Uppercut_7 according to my lil knowledge about this draft system , it has more corruption than the auction system i guess.
the only unfairness of the auction system is that more richer bidder can have the best player .
But the draft system can be fixed (like they think it happened in 2012 NBA draft lottery ), now that's a big issue .
sorry if i got it wrong ,still learning about this draft system lol

yes if ur talking abt fixin the draft like it happened 2012 season, i guess yes, but there wont b any opportunities for any "under hand" deals between the franchises and players, and so called "unannounced bids", where the sum is not known to the public, not to mention "behind the back" dealings of players and other franchises.
but hey man, having said dat this is SL, so they will "invent" ways for corruption in any new system. :D.... we cud both b wrong lool
are they going to bid the local players as well?
