Former Sri Lanka skipper and government legislator Sanath Jayasuriya could head the five-member cricket selection committee that is to be formed shortly, Ceylon Today learns.Sri Lanka Cricket added the name of the veteran cricketer of 110 Tests and 445 ODIs along with Jayantha Seneviratne..

I like Sanath as a player and person but not good to have a politician as chief selector. Logard's report fell on deaf ears.

Relax fellas, it's the same newspaper, that reported Kandambi s gonna be Test captain!! :D)
I mean, wud he accept such position while he s still playing for Kandurata Warriors? SLPL?
But then again this is SL! Sanath might become chief selector who s playing the SLPL, and Kanda might become Test captain!! LIVE IN FEAR fans!! :D)
PS: i wud probably have to give up watching test cricket if that happens tho, :D)

@ UC_7 - he wants to become the ultimate superstar, once he played for the national team when he was the MP, then was a commentator during the next series and went off midway to play the hongkong sixers :D
