Couldn't agree more. The SLC is going to take a hit either way and their credibility will be shredded after this fiasco.
Murali has full rights to open his mouth and reprimand the SLC but was it really essential to delve so deeply into the issue? Just asking.
wow, wat a comment by murali, im outa words 2 describe it so il just say " gr8 going murali, just like in the world cup final!"
murali is spot on.. if the board gives its word that players can play until May 20th, they can't just go back on their word.. this would just mean that the boards' words have no meaning and players cant trust the board.. slc was well aware of the English tour when it gave the no obligation certificate.. seems like the sports minister is trying to make a point to BCCI over how he was treated in India.. way out of line!

Surprised by this statement from Murali. For a person who served the country for so long this was totally uncalled for.No matter what happened, playing for the country should be given top priority.Rather than making such statements, he should set an example to the youngsters.
This English tour is a FTP tour and what we should know is that this FTP was drawn nearly '4 YEARS' back and as such the schedule was never finalized.Usually for most tours this shuffling of dates does take place and isnt necessarily according to the FTP.
The BCCI itself is guilty of this. One of many examples is the 2008 Asia Cup where the BCCI forced the PCB to push the tournament forward to accommodate the inaugural IPL.It ended with the Asia Cup being played in the boiling heat of July in Pakistan when usually no cricket is played at that time.
