Someone first needs to hand these chaps at SLC a dictionary and point out to them the meaning of the word 'media'.
SLC officials think that the word 'media' means just newspapers, their preferred journalists, TV stations, websites of their choice and radio. When in fact any website that is engaged in presenting information to the public are also 'media' and even considered news media.

Unfortunately we don't have the sharpest minds holding top-level positions within SLC, and it reflects in the manner in which they have dealt with us here at Island Cricket over the last several years.
One of the officials even took to my Facebook recently to launch an insult-filled tirade in response to an article I wrote. This is how SLC deals with the media!

This is what Lorgat recommends in his report,
"Develop, as an organisation, good working relationships with media and establish a proper media protocol which may include regular update/ briefings by the CEO or specifically designated spokesperson(s)."
