Jayawardene to lead SL in Australia

Hours after Tillakaratne Dilshan resigned as Sri Lanka captain from all three formats, the country's new selection panel appointed former captain Mahela Jayawardene in his place to lead the ODI squad to Australia for the tri-series in February involving the hosts and India.

yep Iraj..he is..he didnt play for Chilaw Marians in the SLC Domestic league.
SL finally won two matches in a row...the secret was Mahela was not playing both those games! no weaklink in the middle order to upset batting plans...
Mahaiya has had a dreadful time since his WC final century. So when he comes back we have a passenger in the side with a current average of about 10 runs per innings.
Hope something clicks for MJ and his luck changes with the new responsibility of being captain, otherwise we have a passenger, a real burden, in the side, as captain...
