Within a matter of few weeks of the meeting with the Indian delegation, Ranatunga was removed as head of SLC by the Minister of Sports. Ranatunga was replaced by S. Liayanagama, the Sports Ministry Secretary, who headed the delegation to India.

ICC governs Cricket.
BCCI governs ICC...
Therefore all the national cricket boards are governed by BCCI......!
What a shame...!

Wouldnt surprise me if this was the case. I appreciate Ranatunge's concerns over IPL and alot more but its important to pick the battles that you have a reasonable chance of winning and any battle with the BCCI will only see one winner - the BCCI!

BCCI always do their job more diplomatically and will get what they want, same case here, But it was very late on display.
Bcci will learn very same lesson which rajiv gandhi learnt. Wait and see. I am waiting for it.every time india dance , they learn a nice lesson, may be a another few whitewashes

Very funny Dasun, Always posting non cricket related comments.
Sakthivel: Don't act. I saw many times u laugh to my country at espncricinfo. Every action has equal reaction . This is it
no need waste time talking abt indian minows, cant win in australia, cant win in bangladesh, can win only in india loool(oh yes and have enough money to twist other boards hands, dats all)
well one of the rarest situations i can agree with the BCCi
