Sanath Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka) – Perhaps a moot point, but without the Matara Marauder we’d probably never have T20 cricket, batting powerplays and IPL. Kris Srikkanth, Mark Greatbatch and Gordon Greenidge might take offence, but pinch-hitting openers became a necessity due to this man.

KP is not a worthy inclusion by way of one single shot that is likely to get banned. I would include Gilly - he changed the wicket keepers role forever in all forms of cricket. I would debate Waqar for Wasim Akram who introduced more than sheer pace and he also showed the value of runs from the lower order.

yeh @stormy, agree with u on account of KP's inclusion, but i dont think they'll ban da switch hit according to latest icc respose, they look to tweak the "lbw law", so the bowler has a much better chance on the batsmen when he switch hits.
