Cricket board elections in quandary

The Director General of sports in a letter to Sri Lanka Cricket advised the board to reject the nomination of incumbent President Upali Dharmadasa, if his nomination papers did not include approval by the Minister.Minister of Sports Aluthgamage is yet to grant approval to the nomination..

What a pickle. Only Srilanka these things happen.If Sumathi and Upaali cannot contest( there was prior info) Arjuna had been already earmrked for chairmnship of an interim committee.
This was prearranged as i wrote few days aago even though i am in Sydney.

copied comment but Wdnt it be hilarious if one Mr Sumith Perera gets elected by default if the other two are disqualified. :) its funny in so many levels.
On state media they were planting negative stories about Upali. I think ruling family does not trust him any longer and want Thilanga to take over.
