I agree 100%. Three good allrounders in Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera and Jeevan Mendis, add Nuwan Kulasekera, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis and thats a formidable bowling attack.
I like to see Akila Dananjaya against South Africa or in the next round. He is a trump card and Lanka must use him at some point in the tournament.
Thirimanna is a waste in the middle, better to go with Akhila. If Munaweera fails against South Africa then Chandimal should open the batting in the next round.
agree..if its a grass pitch again..will be a gud chance for mendis and new guy akhila dananjaya to perform.give him some confident.do not put him strait against india or pak.if they score more than 30 40..our selectors will throw him out..give him a chance vs south africa..
at the moment no point of putting chandimal..hes under pressure.so he will play for his survival..
Thirimanna is a gud batsman, drop him and get akhila,we need another bowler who can surprise south africa.need to win next match against south africa.to get high confidence..
at the moment the strong teams are england and south africa
because they played some quality cricket in england..
