Sri Lanka will undergo major changes following their tour of Australia, according to sports minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage.
Speaking to Island Cricket, Aluthgamage explained that at the end of the week he would be appointing a new selection committee. He refused to name who would make up the new selection panel.
The minister also confirmed rumours that there would be multiple captains for the national side.
"There will be a captain for the T20 and one-day side, and a separate captain for the Test side," he explained.
He however dismissed suggestions that Thilina Kandamby would be appointed Test captain.
"I have seen this story and can assure you it is entirely false," he said.
The minister would not confirm who the new captains would be.
Sri Lanka take on Australia in the final match of the five-match ODI series in Hobart tomorrow. The visitors currently lead the series 2-1, and will be looking to thank Mahela Jayawardene for his time as captain with a series win.
