Ruhuna squad announced for CLT20, 2011

September 15, 2011 (Island Cricket): Sri Lanka Cricket announced today the 16-man squad representing Ruhuna at the Champions League T20 tournament starting next week.
Mahela Udawatte, who represented Wayamba in the previous edition of the CLT20, will lead Ruhuna this year.
The tournament features a qualifying round, which will see Ruhuna playing Trinidad & Tobago and Leicestershire, in order to proceed to the group stages.
Ruhuna will play Trinidad & Tobago on September 19 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and Leicestershire on Sep 21 at the same venue.
Squad: Mahela Udawatte (C), Dinesh Chandimal (VC), Sanath Jayasuriya, Janaka Gunaratne, Milinda Siriwardena, Amal Athulathmudali, Chinthaka Perera, Shalika Karunanayaka, Tillakaratne Sampath, Alankara Asanka Silva, Shihan Kamileen, Omesh Wijesiriwardene, Yashodha Lanka, Kushal Janitha Perera, Arosh Janoda, Lasantha Jayakody.

Mahela Udawatte is one lucky guy to represent the CLT20 three times , twice through Wayamba and nw Ruhuna..and where the hell is Upul Tharanga..he is the original captain of Ruhuna isnt it?

Go Rhinos! I do hope that Jayasuriya shouldn't rob Amal Athulathmudali's place. Amal and Mahela should open. The team may be short of one good bowler but they should beat both T & T and Leistershire.

Upul is the original captain of ruhuna but unfortunately upul was unable to play this time local T20 series because of his 3 months ban.Malinga is playing for Mumbai Indians he dindt play all matches in local T20 also he didnt play for the final which ruhuna won.
Where is Bhanuka Rajapaskse who was supposed to be in the squad
@ ROAR OF LANKA - I saw Suraj Randiv in CSK squad. Probably he may have chosen that over Ruhuna...
