New Pallekele International Cricket Stadium Opens Today

The International Cricket Stadium in Pallakele Kandy was declared open today (27 November).

The stadium which can accommodate 30 000 spectators is one of the venues of the upcoming 2011 World cup. Accordingly 03 world cup matches will be played at the stadium in Pallakekele.

Shame it hasn't got any floodlights. Would look quite nice in the night.

I assume that if it has not got floodlights, that it is going to host Test matches? If so, when will the first Test/full international match there be?
