You seem to me like those middle aged 'Aunties' who watch daily soaps, and gossip about other people personal life. You're no one to comment on his personal life.

Well, dictator will win.

People show fake support for SL & they want SJ to play next w/c because he is weak. That is the advantage they are looking.
I am a true SL supporter, I will support any Sl player to play well whether sinhalese/ tamil/ muslim.

He will probably win,but it is a very wrong decision, I was against him campaigning also but at least that has happened in many countries where prominent sports personalities back politicians, but did LeBron James and Tiger Woods join the Democratic party after Obama won?? Also him saying that he has taken this decision just because he wants to serve the people is not an excuse, Who says that you need to join politics to serve people, Mahela and sangakkara do a lot of social work through their foundations,Sanath could have done the same as he has enough money to do so.And him telling that he wants to "Balance sports and politics" is simply a joke.Sri Lanka will be the first country where a Member Of Parliament pads up for his country, the international cricket community will laugh at us.Also what kind of pressure will be on the selection committee when they have to decide whether or not to drop an MP?? Its just wrong and unethical, sorry Sanath,we love the S.T jayasuriya who played for SL but im not sure we love or respect S.T Jayasuriya M.P of the Matara District, Sorry old chap

If you are referring to my example of sportsmen endorsing a presidential candidate, you can throw that example out of the window for this.

As you say, endorsing a candidate and becoming a politician are two very different things.
