[Discussion Thread] Sri Lanka vs India, CB Series, Adelaide - Feb 14, 2012
Sri Lanka are playing for the love of the game and its a great day for them as it is Valentines Day (February 14th) for them to open thier account of winning games against a strong Indian XI.Hopefully Sri Lanka are up for it this time, especially from thier batting. Tharanga,Sangakkara and Mahela, these three big players along with Thirimanne will be itching to rediscover form and establish a better performance as a batting unit along with Dilshan, Chandimal, Mathews & Thirimanne.
Dont expect to make too many changes from the side from Perth, probably the same side.

They should play the same team and give another chance to Thirimanne and Tharanga, if both fail to impress, Mahela should consider opening and bring back Sameraweera in the middle order.

If Mahela wins the toss he should definitely bowl 1st at Adelaide, it just gets better batting under lights. Really if you need to win against India, batting second even if India scores 300 would be a wise option. Mind anyone, India are great chases even on sporting tracks.

Sri Lanka have won the toss and will bat 1st, is it a good decision to bat first rather than chase against India? Well we will have to wait and see, I am not sure why we didn't want to field first.

India have dropped the out-of form Virender Sehwag ,in comes the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan misses out with an injury and in comes Irfan Pathan.
Must win game for Sri Lanka if they are hopeful of progressing into the finals.Today's game requires a win from them.
