[Discussion Thread] Sri Lanka vs Australia, Match 9, CB Series, Hobart - Feb 24, 2012
Sri Lanka's best chance of getting in to the Commonwealth Bank Series Finals lies in this game, they will hav to lift thier game and continue the impressive form they had during the last three games.Sri Lanka should look to attack the Australians from the outset, try to bring the game into thier advantage and then go for the kill to achieve victory, which should be thier prime objective in tommorow's game.Fielding will be absolute key for Sri Lanka, they will have to field really well.
Sri Lanka may feel they can overhaul the Aussies, but should be mindful not to be complacent and make everyone in the XI contribute towards a team-victory.As Hobart is generally a swing-bowlers paradise Sri Lanka's batsmen should be mindful about the first 10 overs, which is crucial for a substantial total. There are short boundaries in the Bellerive Oval and Sri Lanka should target those for boundary options.
Sri Lanka are likely to go in with an unchanged side which has brought Sri Lanka concecutive wins against both the opponents.
