Sri Lanka's real battle begins, from now on! It is the time for the 1st of the Final round of the CB Series 2012, more drama, more emotions, more action, more enthusiasm and great cricket is expected from both the sides, Sri Lanka and Australia at Brisbane's Woolloongabba Stadium. Plenty of cheer for either side is expected especially from Sri Lankans. Sri Lanka will be aiming for a final-face-off vs Australia to achieve the CB Series Trophy and continue thier superb winning streak to extend it to a 4 in a row victories vs Australia.
Sri Lanka will welcome the return of Farveez Maharoof and will be unfortunate to lose out all-rounder Thisara Perera due to a muscle-injury, surprise selection of Kapugedera, who virtually has done nothing to the team since he played the CWC Final, is a poor one indeed, Kapugedera bagged a duck playing for NCC, and straight away flow to Australia when the club game was still on progress. One would have expected Bhanuka Rajapakse or Anglo Perera to have had the chance of playing his 1st International game.
Kapugedera has been a thorn in SLC batting line up forever and his inclusion in the XI is likely to affect SL's talented batting line up,Tharanga should be the obivious choice to play tommorow.

Brisbane is a pace friendly pitch so there will be lot for fast bowlers. I don't think they are going to include Tharanga at 5 or 6. So most probably sachitra or chamara will be in the playing 11. I have no faith in chamara. Better to go with sachitra although its a pace friendly wicket and he is a decent tailender batsman. Hope mahroof's return adds more strength to our bowling attack.

Chamara Kapugedera scored a duck in his innings for NCC prior he was flown in to Australia, Chamara Silva while has made a 200 for Bloomfield, poor choice of Chamara for my liking,If they wanted a Chamara , I would have gone with Silva...Bhanuka Rajapakse deserves a chance.

Jayawardene says he would have preferred to bat first. There is some rain forecast for later in the day. Maharoof is back from his injury, Dammika Prasad comes in as well and so does Upul Tharanga. There's no Thisara Perera or Angelo Mathews - both out injured.- via Cricinfo
