Records tumbled as Ananda College broke a 14 year record for the most successive victories in a season by a Sri Lankan school cricket team.

Moratu Maha Vidyalaya who held the record in the 1994/1995 season with eleven straight wins, saw the record fall to Ananda College earlier this year.

Remarkably the lads from Moratuwa managed to regain the record in the very same season. Moratu Maha Vidyalaya have now recorded 13 successive victories from 16 matches in the 2008/09 school cricket season.
