Chamari Polgampola to lead Women’s T20 team

Chamari Polgampola has been selected to lead the Women’s cricket team for the forthcoming World Cup T20 cricket tournament scheduled to be held from June 9 to 22 in England.

The team approved by the Minister of Sports comprises 14 members and five officials. Three players have been included as stand byes. The notable absentee is regular skipper Shashikala Siriwardena who has been suspended. The team is due to leave the island in early June.
