Sri Lankan batsmen never good at the crunch situations

Many asked before the start what can Seven over match do ?Even many will say this is not a match. But it really showed how the players react during the crunch situation with bat and ball. It was the case the South African batsmen and bowlers came to the party, they were solid with the bat and wonderful in the field. SA captain AB de Villiers batted superbly and runout Dilshan in the very first over, where SA bowlers run through the Srilankan top order and never let opponent into the match.
Winning the match with a margin of 33 runs in 7 over match against the home team is always good. Giving Proteas the taste of their own medicine never worked really and showed Srilankan batsmen never good at the crunch situations .

@silva,
calm down man! i think he has a point. Our batsmen never deliver when it matters.
Silva - leave him alone. He did what he knows . Can we expect feather from turtle.
Yeap he is. Laugh to sri lanka at any cost.
Sachi - if sri lankan batsmans "never" play well at crunch moments how won world cup by bat second?

well, to lose a 7 over match by 30 sum runs says it better than the most expatiate article( im nt suggesting this is by any means)
so its high time SL fans realize their team has a problem. bt then again its nt only the team, its the whole system dats faulting. in my opinion mahela and dilshan has to go, bt they wont coz there r no replacements 4 dem, and if those two play in d next worldcup dats another dead and buried worldcup campaign.

Point 1: this was not a crunch game, it was actually a game with little meaning made less so as a 7 over contest. So no this cannot be used to throw blanket statements on a team.
Point 2: SA looked a class of its own. SL didn't get a look in with bat or ball. SL's main strike bowler was carted around while SA's mian strike bowler was unplayable.
Point 3: SL are probably hoping not to meet SA in the knock out stage again but then again, this is SA de-jaa-voo - they look untouchable till the 'knockout' final stage. Would be ironic if SL end up meeting SA later cos it will be a knock out game!
