Ramith Rambukwella's father's condition unstable
Sources from Australia say that Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella’s condition is unstable after he had fallen from the third floor of a hospital in Melbourne, Australia on the 6th morning.
The Minister had stepped out to the balcony to smoke a cigarette and the connecting door to the room had accidentally got locked. After several attempts to open the door had failed, the Minister had slipped and fallen when he had tried to climb to the adjoining room.
The Minister had also been under the influence of liquor at the time.
He had fallen on to a shrub and had broken both his legs. He had also knocked his head in the fall and apart from the broken legs, he had also sustained severe injuries to his head.
Our sources from Australia say that the expected progress had not been achieved in the surgeries performed on the Minister’s head and leg.
The Minister had traveled to Australia with his son, Ramitha Rambukwella, who is an upcoming young cricketer for a surgery to be performed on his knee.
The Minister’s wife had flown to Australia on the 6th evening.

Ramitha Rambukwella is the notorious spoilt son of a politician. He was voted as a scoolboy cricketer with the father collecting thousands of newspaprs without payment and voting for him. After receiving award, the father gifted him with a luxury car.
This is the son who had a serious violation of disciplne in his chool and also when touring involved in a serious incident in a hotel. This is the future cricketer.

According to the Daily News, this is not true: http://www.dailynews.lk/2012/02/09/news3...
BTW, Ranjan this piece has very little to do with cricket, no?

@ Ranjan: You seem to be more interested in politics than cricket :) Just kidding.
But he jumped from UNP to SLFP without any physical injury what-so-ever. But then again, he wouldn't have been under the influence of liquor at that time, only lucre!
The story is true
Thanks Ranjan for the item. This is the first time I read that he fell FROM the 3rd flour. A SL news paper said he fell ON the third flour and I was wondering how he managed to get injuries needing three ops. Got to be more careful when you are feeling happy ! Oh about the son govt minister father and son playing 'pandu', they all do it, poli tikkas and sons in SL, I mean. However if the son can play cricket well and play as a member of the team and maintain the discipline required he is welcome, and we shouldn't hold his gene pool against him.
When did Daily News ever tell the truth regarding government politicians??? Scandals, controversies are always missing from that newspaper even when all the papers and websites carry the news.
Did DN have a article on Kumars cowdry lecture???
Did the DN have an article on the bankruptcy of the cricket board??
DN is the mouthpiece of the government to suit their own political agenda. Only news glorifying the president, prime minister, ministers and government mps are published.
DN circulation is the lowest in the country. That tells a story.

I did not mean to bring the father of Ramith. I brought it up as Ramith has no discipline having incurred the wrath of Royal College and while on a cricket tour was caught redhanded but not paunished due to the fathers influence.

Why is this guy bringing politics into IslandCricket??? The bloody minister's fall has nothing to do with cricket. Who really knows if he fell off the 3rd floor on the floor???
As for his Son...Ranjan you are just gossiping, which isn't news or a blog.
If you've got something to say, blog it with some facts, a link to a real news site perhaps or pictures. Don't link to some bogus sites like LankaNewsWeb, its pure gossip.
