Kapugedera has twice been the wrong choice in finals

The moment kapugedera was brought in as replacement, I knew he was the wrong choice. For the 2011 World Cup, having never played a single match, he was brought in and was a failure. Today ,again having never played prior to this, he was brought into a final.
Even Healy commented that Kapugedera was a misfit. Kapu comes from Kandy - was there political interference? In domestic cricket he recently scored a century but Chamara Silva scored a double century and two centuries and should have been the choice. In the World Cup, Chamara was replaced by Kapugedera.
I also have been highlighting that our tail hit the ball in the air and today Kulasekera was the culprit.
The sports minister was there today for the finals in the hope of our winning the title and he taking the credit for the hard work of the players. I can dare to say but for political intreference we would have fared better.

I think the Sri Lankan team had too much confidence of winning, and it brought them a SAD LOSS.

this kapu is the useless cricketer in the current cricket field..not only in the finals..he played for ipl with ms dhoni for chennai superkings..cant you remeber what he did in the finals.because of kapu channai lost the finals..that is the first or second ipl..no no first ipl..final rajasthan royals shanewarns and chennai superkings....this kapu spolit everything..dont bring this again..bring chamara silva..got talent than this kapu .agree with ranjan sydney..

Kapugedera is good for only one thing..පොල් කඩන්න..
I can't understand the logic behind "Kapugedara" putting stright away into Finals. that also in aussie conditions.. even tharanga took some time to adapt.. I think its high time to try others..

OK firstly no matter who played in the final it would have been their first game thanks to key injuries Mathews and Perera. SL were in a hard place no matter who it was going to be and turning to Kapu, who has some experience behind him wasnt all that illogical.
I see Chamara Silva's name floated again - the fact is both Kapu and Chamara are tried and tested failures who kept out talents like Chandimal out of the team for too long. I dont understand what is so hard to give a new talent the opportunity than tried and failed players - SL must be the only team who keep giving failures repeat opportunities.
The two Chamara's endless opportunities meant players like Chandimal and Thirimane were kept out and now both have given more hope than the two Chamara's ever did. I would have given another youngster the chance - you cant do worse than a tried, tested failed player surely!
Kapu is a stupid and brainless cricketer, theres no political interference in his selection. His domestic performance was forced him to b selected, i havent seen any batsman edging a middle stump delivery to the wicket keeper. He is only good to be a MODEL, he can try his luck in acting.. There are enough young players than him, the opportunity provided to kapu to prove his ability is more than enough, the shot he played to zaheer khans ball in the w.c finals still makes me angry whn i think tht.. If sachitra wud hv playd in da cb series final it wud hv been really better, he surely wud hv batted well than kapu. The sadest part is what kulasekera as bowler can bat far betr than kapu as a batsman, i dont know y selectors show mercy on cricketers like kapu, C.silva, and fernando!!!
for me its bad luck for kapu. as soon as he came to middle he was confidence and got singles where tharanga strugle lot to get a single and lots of edges and fielding practices to ausis fielders where he could not find singles and take the chance to bat other end till kapu get in to form. yes sometimes kapu should have get a big score thats the cricket the day is not for him after long time strait in to a final, coundnt expect his chances are for big score.
