SLC must ensure proper management of its contracted players through proper provisions in the legal contract documents, as most players could be easily exploited by the IPL teams. The injured players will be a loss to us,and they will be a liability. LET THE IPL be a littlemore responsible with our players and pay for any such injuries. I suggest the players need not take IPL very seriously, and enjoy the carnival (bang-bang type)and return with the pay packet. Is this money coming to us?
Angelo Mathews shouldn't play in IPL. He is injury prone. He will ruin his career playing in rigours IPL

I am watching Mathews bowling right now and wondering what impact this could possibly have on his future as test captain of SL. Hopefully only positive impact. Despite all the IPL bashing, I think its good and gives exposure for some of the younger players.

errm im sorry but i am under the impression that Angelo Mathews is not fit enough to bowl..so therefore isnt he risking futher aggravating his injury by bowling in the IPL?

i think mathews had had enough exposure.. he needs to maintain his health.. bit mad that he cdnt play for SL in all those finals and yet he is bowling here.. hope that its a case of being fully healed..
Would any of you guys happy to be stay out of IPL the amount of money they paid ? Bloody one year from SLC you get from one two month IPL..

Appaarently Mathews has been given the clear to bowl, and yes the IPL does pay very handsomely, but it must be clear that it is only a domestic tournament, and national duty must come first. Its about representing your country and doing what you love, not just money.
ok so according to news breaking in, one of these guys have been named in the spot fixing thing. Dinesh Chandimal did not play at all and I can't guess who would do such a thing. there is no official naming or communication from BCCI it says so I think the bookie who got caught is talking rubbish or it may be the indian media.
