Here are some exclusive pictures of the first ever "CEAT Sri Lanka Cricket Awards " held on Oct. 30 - 2009, at Waters Edge, Sri Lanka.

Top tire brand CEAT, a pioneer in evaluating and honouring cricketing greats on the international stage, in collaboration with Sri Lanka Cricket and the Players Association, acknowledged cricketers and performances at various levels in the domestic calendar and the international circuit.

More than 100 awards were presented to cricketers from the Under 23 divisions, Women’s divisions, Premier league tiers A & B, Premier league limited over, and the Sara league tournaments. And at the international level, the best batting and bowling performances in tests and one day internationals, the débutante/emerging player of the year, best international woman cricketer of the year and the best junior player of the year were honoured at this event.

It is also pleasing to note Special Achievement Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award were presented for truly exemplary performances and service to the game.

The highlight of the night was the announcement of the CEAT people’s player of the Year, an award that was presented to the international player who received the most votes from the public via SMS.
